What you all made possible in 2021!

Hello Everyone!

As we continue on this journey to help our community of warriors, I cannot recall a more challenging time in my life or in the world to embark on new ventures. A pandemic, economic instability, and civil unrest added stress to our already heightened nervous systems. Knowing all of this, it became so much more important for me to figure out innovative ways to bring support, love, and healing to the lives of people like me living with fibromyalgia.

As you know, we are the only not-for-profit in the United States providing supportive services to the fibromyalgia community. To date, there are an estimated 7-12 million people affected by this nervous system disorder. Those numbers are expected to drastically increase as long haulers are now being diagnosed with what the medical field is referring to as Covid-Fibromyalgia. The Fibromyalgia Care Society of America, Inc is a very small grassroots organization that currently operates and relies solely on private fundraising dollars. The more I thought about this, the more it felt as if I had been tasked with moving a mountain. That is when I stumbled across a video from TD Jakes where he explained how seeds need to be in the right soil in order to grow. It made me think of all the growth the FCSA has experienced this year despite the world being in turmoil. While I may have firmly planted my ideas, dreams, and self, you all have provided the water necessary for growth and I am forever grateful to all of you!

With your help, we have begun to chip away at the mountain. This year, we rolled out the first fresh food delivery program in the United States for people living with fibromyalgia in the State of New Jersey. By doing this, we were able to bring disability justice to a community that has been ignored for far too long. Check out Maria's testimonial below to hear how your support brings nutrition, understanding, and companionship to this disabled senior. We distributed over 7k in funding across the United States to people living with fibromyalgia who were financially impacted by the pandemic. Check out Penny's video below to hear how with your support we were able to keep the lights on and food on the table for her family. We distributed over 2400k pain cream samples at outreach events across the State of New Jersey. This provided us with the opportunity to educate people about fibromyalgia while also connecting with families who have been affected by this nervous system disorder.

We are now embarking on major growth. On January 4th, 2022, our virtual coordinated care program will commence-the first of its kind in the United States. Our team has been busy strategizing and designing all the components required to ensure that all participants are provided with the support and tools necessary to reclaim their lives. This program is the pilot model for how to revolutionize fibromyalgia care across the Country. We are ready and determined to roll out this program in other States. However, this will require support from many different entities. Once again, we know that our community of supporters will rally behind us to bring the people, dollars, and voices required to help our community reclaim the dignity that has labeled us invisible.

You can help us continue to make a difference in the lives of millions of people across the United States by making a year-end tax-deductible donation and encouraging your friends, families, networks, and employers to support the revolutionary work being done in the fibromyalgia community.
